WHAT IS L CARNITINE

L Carnitine helps in the consumption and disposal of fat in the body because it is responsible for the transport of fatty acids from the cytosol ( cystosol is the internal fluid of the cell, and where a portion of cell metabolism occurs) into the mitochondria (is a membrane-enclosed organelle (organelle is a specialized subunit within a cell that has a specific function, and is separately enclosed within its own lipid membrane)found in most eukaryotic cells (organisms whose cells are organized into complex structures enclosed within membranes) It is very similar to the nonessential amino acid carnitine. It is helpful in metabolizing food into energy, such as helping metabolize food into energy. It is synthesized in the body from the amino acids called lysine and methionine. It is also found in avocados, dairy products, and red meats(especially lamb and beef).
